Ah, October...the only time of year when my taste in home decor can be passed off as "normal"!
Pink wooden articulated skeleton, found at a local tag sale for a buck. He's been living in front of the fire place since May. I'll definitely have to find another place for him before heating season begins though.
My Edvard Munch Scream sculpture. He lives in the front window and has a Santa hat and bunny ears for the appropriate holidays. I used to have a 4 foot inflatable Scream doll for my office, but the oldest granddaughter chewed a hole in him while teething and I haven't been able to locate a replacement.
Bride of Frankenstein, The Thing lamp, Animal and the Gator mascot from the old Sunrise Resort Cajun Zydeco Festival in Moodus hanging out on the speakers listening to Richard Cheese's Get Down with the Sickness.
The weird tag sale print now lives on top of the living room book case, next to the 7 foot cat tree.
My Living Dead Doll, NoHell and my tombstone souvenior from our 2009 Tweet Mystery of Death project hanging out in my office.
My glow in the dark flesh eating Zombie figurines, my prize for winning the Hawaiian Shirt Contest at NECON this year.
A vampire rubber duck, one of the first crocheted Cthulu's I ever made and Thing #1 guard some of my favorite horror novels.
I found this last year at the local grocery store and loved the reactions I got to hanging it from the lamp next to my living room chair so much, I made it a permanent fixture. Still creeps the grandkids out and I LOVE it!
And finally, guarding my signed collection of picture books, my Where the Wild Things Are tile. It was my favorite book as a child and I took it out of the school library so often, a librarian took me aside and suggested I try reading something else for a change.
